Dr Tu graduated from medical school at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Northwell LIJ on Long Island, NY. He is double board certified in both Internal Medicine as well as Diabetology and practices in Bethpage, NY. Dr. Tu earned his MBA in Healthcare Administration from Molloy University and has many administrative roles such as being the Regional Chief of Adult Primary Care in Eastern Long Island for Optum NY/NJ. Aside from helping patient live their healthiest lives, he supports the American College of Diabetology to promote patient access to diabetes specialty care. At the ACD, he is the Chairman of their Membership Committee as well as a member of their Board of Directors. Dr. Tu also is on the Board of Directors for Bravo Zulu House, a charity that supports military veterans that are struggling to re-integrate into civilian life and is also the Chairman of the Board for Soo-Dawi, a charity in Nigeria supporting diabetes awareness and access to care for people living in Sub-Saharan Africa.
